3 inches cross-guard Wilkinson Sword made Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife Text and pictures by Ron Flook 2008-12-30. The 3 inch guard has patina consistent with the rest of the knife, the pommel nut has never been removed. The other interesting feature of the knife is the slightly narrower "neck" at the pommel end of the hilt. Provenance: This knife was obtained from the family of a Royal Marine Officer. |
