Henry Gustafson who was an employee at Husqvarna Vapenfabrik has explained that Husqvarna produced top secrete guns during WW2. These guns were made without any the name of the factory or any factory emblem. The HVA emblems on the grips were grounded away. Nobody knew for what purpose these guns were made but the rumor said that they were intended for resistance movements in Denmark and Norway. These weapons were named “Neutral” guns at the factory.

Later investigations have shown that these guns were ordered by a company called Skandiastal AB (which means Scandia Steel Co). This company was a dummy company owned and run by the Swedish Secrete Service called “C-bureau” during WW2.

These m/40 pistols were packed three together in grey paper in wooden boxes.

A very rare and unusual variation is the completely unmarked but serial numbered pistol m/40, which were made by Husqvarna during the war.

The records of Husqvarna GF shows that these pistols were delivered to a suspicious company called Skandia Steel.
Thomas Broborn made research about these deliveries and found out that Scandia Steel was
a cover company run by a man called Algot Vilgot Toneman, who was part of a secrete organisation called C-Bureau, at that time and was led by Karl Petersen.

The C-Bureau later became “The Technical Office” which was a forerunner of today’s Military Secrete service in Sweden. These pistols were given to secrete agents and they were occasionally found in Norway.
Many collectors assume that these pistols were intended for the Danish and Norwegian partisans, but this has been proven wrong.
